2020 PANDEMIC CHANGES
Some people, like Brittney, cut their bangs during the Covid pandemic, while others, like Marcelino, start a business. 2020 was a time and opportunity to pause and observe. In that stillness, began a vision of how to better serve the community beyond the limits of a day job. One that would, unknowingly and unregrettably turn into a 24/7 job- CHC & Family Developments.
FLIP OR FLOP
With family members bringing the CHC vision to life, we began breaking down walls (literally). *Cue the disaster of dust in the ladies' hair* We began giving Columbus homes some love, sprinkling a magical touch of beautiful design with each flip. Yet, we noticed a pattern of contractor setbacks. After delving into the dilemma of "bad contractors," we saw the need for two worlds to collide: sincerity and reliable craftsmanship.
STRONG VALUES FOR BETTER EFFICIENCY
We set out to establish our own licensing and it changed the game. We brought our designs into the homes of people spanning from Columbus to Washington D.C to New York! We developed strong relationships with clients through our wonderful process and guidance. We operate at a high standard that continues to needle a thread through the community, sowing seeds of quality, ensurance, and joy.
Years later, we still highlight the key take away from our 2020 spark; stillness.

Creating Homes for the Community with family is the biggest perk about this job. As a homeschooling family, their children get the chance to experience the many blessings of operating a family-owned business with all of the learning opportunities. They are constantly inspired and creating their own businesses through play (and somehow gaining money too)! Brittney and Marcelino are a husband and wife duo with a tight knit relationship with the next husband and wife duo- Rudy and Julie (parents of Brittney), all originally from New Jersey. It was a random weekend trip to Columbus and their growing family, that helped them chose to move out of their home state! With 7 years of loving Ohio and 3 more home-births later, they have gained an insane amount of skills through lessons learned.
Running a renovation company has suited them in more ways than they could have known. They express deep gratitude for the ability to work in helping all of their clients reach their goals.
